About OPIN

OPIN - A European toolbox for youth eParticipation projects

OPIN is composed of:

OPIN is an all-in-one digital and mobile participation toolbox for youth organisations or public administrations. 

OPIN provides participation projects with a digital home. All stages of the project are transparent and supported by OPIN’s software: 

  • features for digital and mobile participation 
  • intelligent community management 
  • integration of offline events
  • multimedia information about your project 

The toolbox is developed to support quality participation by design. Concentrated practical tips and a tool for project management help to plan and find the right tools for your purpose. Build a professional eParticipation process without being a pro. 

    Five pilot programmes are currently testing OPIN and will give feedback for improvements to the OPIN developers:

    • The City of Paris 
    • UNEF-Dauphine
    • AEGEE - European Students' Forum
    • A cross-border partnership between Italy and Slovenia
    • The Region Heart of Slovenia

    OPIN platform and features are developed within the project "EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation in and across Europe”. The project is running from March 2015 to March 2018 and is supported under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

    Besides the software development several activities will take place until March 2018.

    The aim of the project “EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation in and across Europe” is to get more young people involved in political decision-making and increase their trust in European political institutions. For this we need:

    • to set up attractive participation projects

    The solution is created within the EUth project: OPIN, an all-in-one proven digital and mobile participation toolbox for youth organisations or administrations. 

    The project “EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation in and across Europe” has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 649594.
