OPIN - A European toolbox for youth eParticipation projects
OPIN is composed of:
OPIN is an all-in-one digital and mobile participation toolbox for youth organisations or public administrations.
OPIN provides participation projects with a digital home. All stages of the project are transparent and supported by OPIN’s software:
- features for digital and mobile participation
- intelligent community management
- integration of offline events
- multimedia information about your project
The toolbox is developed to support quality participation by design. Concentrated practical tips and a tool for project management help to plan and find the right tools for your purpose. Build a professional eParticipation process without being a pro.
- Text review (collaborative text work)
- Brainstorming (collect ideas)
- Idea challenges (collect and ideas and vote)
- Agenda setting (plan meetings)
- Spatial tool (collect ideas regarding certain areas)
- Polling (customizable multi-step polls)
Five pilot programmes are currently testing OPIN and will give feedback for improvements to the OPIN developers:
- The City of Paris
- UNEF-Dauphine
- AEGEE - European Students' Forum
- A cross-border partnership between Italy and Slovenia
- The Region Heart of Slovenia
OPIN development
Besides the software development several activities will take place until March 2018.

The aim of the project “EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation in and across Europe” is to get more young people involved in political decision-making and increase their trust in European political institutions. For this we need:
